Contiki Tours How is the company for a trip to Europe thinking on the European Tour Discovery Any Suggest?
I looked online and have had a mixture of good and bad comments and reviews and much horrible, can somebody tell me what you think. My main concern was seen that the hotels were dirty and very away from the main attractions? I would stay in what they call their superior tourist class hotels, whatever that means telling the hotel does exactly? Any person traveling with any other company and if so which is better?
The positive is that their tours are pretty cheap, and hit the main issues in Europe. I agree that hotels tend to be very basic (not dirty, but very small, plain rooms) and poorly located, and other negative is that they tend to only spend 1-2 days in each location which will have time to visit the famous monuments and that's all. Unless you are very set on taking a tour that will see you travel from independently. It is very easy to get around Western Europe on their own, even if they do not speak the European languages, and would probably be cheaper than Contiki or another company travel.
