Some of the most common soups include cod soup, bean soup, meatball soup and tortilla soup.
One of the most interesting foods to enjoy in Costa Rica is Yucca. It is used there much like potatoes are used here. The kids are sure to enjoy Yucca chips, Yucca fries and even mashed Yucca with gravy to accompany a chicken dinner!
Your Costa Rica vacation doesn’t have to be without a sweet indulgence or two, either. Let the kids try chewing on a piece of sugar cane for a new twist on dessert, and many varieties of sweet thick native fruit juices are readily available.
A somewhat lesser known fact that can be interesting to the grownups on vacation is that Costa Rica also produces some of the world’s most flavourful coffees. So now that you know, you can sit back and relax after a hearty local meal with a cup of rich aromatic java!
As a matter of fact, it looks like you can always find Costa Rican sipping coffee around you. They just love it. And if you’re a coffee lover yourself, you’ll feel like you’re in paradise here. But let me give you a warning: after trying the “real deal”, you’ll never be happy at a Starbucks again.
Most important of all, be adventurous and be willing to try something new. You may just discover a new favourite dish that you’ll continue to make even after your vacation is over!

What is the best European resort in January?
My family and I are trying to decide where to spend your vacation this January. Our options (so far) are London, Edinburgh, Rome, Munich or Paris. Tickets to Munich is about $ 250 cheaper than Munich, but do not know about the cost once we get there. So basically I'm looking for a place that have much to do, be easy to navigate, and not super expensive, once we get there. Do any of these places stand out above the rest? Thanks
I was in Rome in January, and I've been in Paris in February. (London and Edinburgh in the summer and winter, but never Munich) I love to travel in the winter, hardly any tourists and people seem to be very friendly because of it. Well, all these cities will be costly but not there is much you can do about it. London and Edinburgh, probably the most expensive because of the pound. Rome was expensive but so much cheaper if you try to find non-place tourist to eat, there was a lot of lunch specials with tratorria course for beginners and leading 8-10 euros, not bad. Moreover, many posts fruit around the city, selling price of fruit, ie a container of nectarines for 1 euro. Rome is so amazing, there's really much to do, probably more to do so most of the major cities. I hope you choose to Rome, and you and your family love as I do.
